bsnl home & home combo valuable details

OK,
To all the lucky users of bsnl broadband(home&home combo).Because any mean user of broadband will be greatly satistfy with these plans.so,any new commers to the broadband plan,
I suggest to use these plans.And guys beware of the unlimited plans which provide u very low band width.
and for the dummies on internet world,here i give some facts.
1.)when any internet service provider speak of bandwidth,they say it in Kbps(kilo BITS per second).
don't be cheated by this number as the download speed in our computers are measured in KBps(kilo BYTES per second)Notice the difference betwen BITS and BYTES.
1BYTE=8BITS
SO,IF Bsnl say that the speed of the connection is 256 kbps(bits per second) u will get download speed of 32 KBPS(Bytes for second)).obivously these speeds doesn't help u in downloading most.


then some handsome tricks to manage the 2a.m to 8a.m download free limit:
1.)first u should set u'r modem to connect to internet automatically.of course,this is default in bsnl.if not,make sure to set this.i will post u the procedure to do it in later post(i have lost the manual).if,u find it urgent to know about this mail me.
2.)beware to notice that bsnl has some worst technique of billing which they,don't releive to the customers i.e, they bill for 30 minutes of pulse.
3.)now to fully utilise the free hours(2 to 8 a.m),first u have to download a software called "AUTO POWER ON" from "http://www.lifsoft.com/".
4.)this sotware has the ability to hybernate and wake up u'r computer at the specified time.
besure,to hybernate only and not shutdown.(vista may not hybernate while the modem is active so switch off the modem before hybernate and swith on after the hybernation is fully complete i.e system literally stop receiving power,and do not turn off the power supply.)
5.)power on the system at 2:25 am because as i have said earlier, that bsnl billing will be in 30min pulse.
if u time u'r system to start at 2am,may be if the last pulse started at 01:59am then u will be billed for downloads between 01:59am to 02:29am,which can severly impact u with u'r download limit of 2.5 gB.

there is trick to extend u'r free download time.i will,post it later.after the response for this post.
